Just announced is a new competitive bass fishing tournament in Minnesota. The Classic Bass Invitational will take place August 29-30 on Pokegama Lake in Grand Rapids, MN. The team-format event offers 100% payback in cash and prizes, and allows anglers to pick their fishing partners. The 6,700 acre Pokegama Lake is known for its abundance of bass. The two person teams will face fierce competition as they to amass the the heaviest two-day total weight of Largemouth Bass and Smallmouth Bass.
For a new bass fishing tournament in Minnesota the Classic Bass Invitational has already received serious attention from competitive bass fishing tournament anglers. Ron Linder and family plan on fishing the invitational along with fellow Fishing Hall of Famer Mark Fisher. This tournament will help put competitive bass fishing back on track in Minnesota and could be just the beginning for many other tournaments and events to come.
Classic Bass has been a great online resource for bass fishing tournament anglers for two decades. The website was recently purchased by longtime bass pro Scott Bonnema, of Zimmerman, Minnesota, and is being managed by Rick Pelletier, one of Classic Bass’s founding fathers and a veteran tournament organizer.
