Sarah Brame had no idea that bull sharks were anywhere near her and her fishing pole that day:
“I was actually kind of scared because I seen it jump and actually thought it could jump up here and get me,” said Brame. “Because the tide was all the way up, and it was probably three feet below me.”
“We couldn’t believe how it actually happened,” said Moore. “We keep watching the video over and over and over again.”
They were understandably startled and scared of the fact that a bull shark was lurking near the pier. Bull sharks are among the three most common types of sharks that attack humans. Of those three, they are undeniably the most aggressive. They also prefer to hang out in shallow waters where people like to swim. Bull shark attacks also tend to happen in murky waters, where humans can’t see them coming. We’re pretty sure no one along that pier will be suiting up for a swim any time soon.
